And just like that, the last few weeks of our journey were upon us. We visited Puerto Natales and Punta Arenas, then jumped on a 30+ hour ferry to Puerto Williams, the southernmost town in the world, before making it to our final stop: Ushuaia, on the island of Tierra del Fuego.
Glaciers, guanacos, and pumas. Oh my!
Just like that, we’ve reached the end of Carretera Austral. Con dos Français, ripio, tres barcos, mostaza, y mucho vino.
Getting to the heart of the Carretera Austral: Puyuhuapi to el fin de asfalto and beyond.
Rolling into Chile (our third country on the tour) and joining up with the famous Carretera Austral, our home for the next 800 kilometers.
Happy 2017! We’re officially one week (and over 300 kilometers) into our tour de Patagonia.
We’re in Patagonia! We made it… to the start line, that is. Our eyes are now set on our next adventure: the rugged road south to Ushuaia 🙂
